1. Acknowledgment of Risks

I understand that chemical hair services, including color, lightening, toning, balayage, and highlights, may carry certain risks, including but not limited to:

•Hair breakage or damage

•Changes in hair texture or porosity

•Unanticipated colour results (differing from expectations)

•Scalp irritation or sensitivity

•Potential allergic reactions to hair color products

2. Pre-Service Disclosures

I agree to disclose the following to my stylist:

•Any prior treatments or processes on my hair (e.g., box dye, keratin treatments, perms, or relaxers).

•Any allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions that may impact my service.

•Any over-the-counter or prescription medications I am currently taking that could affect the results.

3. Expectations

I understand that achieving my desired hair color may require multiple appointments and/or additional treatments. The stylist has explained what is achievable in this session and future visits. I acknowledge that results may vary due to my hair’s current condition, history, and responsiveness to the products used.

4. Post-Care Responsibility

I agree to follow the recommended hair care instructions provided by my stylist after my service, including:

•Using sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners as advised.

•Minimizing the use of heat tools or protecting hair during styling.

•Scheduling follow-up appointments, if needed, to maintain the hair color or repair damage.

I understand that neglecting post-care recommendations may compromise the longevity and quality of the results, and the salon is not liable for damage caused after I leave the salon.

5. Allergy Test (Patch Test)

I understand I have the option to request a patch test 24–48 hours before the service to assess any allergic reaction. If I choose to proceed without one, I accept full responsibility for any reaction I may experience. My my stylist will not guarantee the result of colour correction.

6. Liability Release

I release Hair by Henny and the stylist performing my service from any liability in the unlikely event of damage, breakage, or color outcome not meeting expectations. I acknowledge that the stylist will take all reasonable measures to minimize risks.

There are chemicals used for processing hair colour, it is advisable that you leave all valuables such as earrings, brand name purses and high-end garments at home or in your car. Hair by Henny Studio is not responsible for any damages including stains and lost items during your visit with us

7. Photography Release

I consent to having photos taken of my hair during and after the service. I grant permission for these images to be used in marketing, including but not limited to social media and promotional materials.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

•I agree to provide at least 48hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

In the event you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please advise us at least 48 hours before the start of your appointment to avoid a penalty.  A 50% charge will be applied to the client credit card on file in the event that our cancellation policy is not met.  Please send an email, text or send a direct message on Instagram if you need to cancel. This provides other clients an opportunity to take your appointment should you no longer be free to keep yours.  Credit card details are requested to secure all bookings or a deposit. 

If an appointment is missed without cancelling or rescheduling, you will be charged for the full cost of the appointment to the credit card on file. 

•I understand that payments are non-refundable.

•If dissatisfied, I may return within 7 days for an assessment, and any corrective service will be provided at the discretion of the stylist.

9. Digital Signature Acknowledgment

By digitally typing my name below, I understand that this represents my electronic signature and serves as a binding agreement to all the terms and policies outlined in this document.
